Things that you should NEVER say to a pregnant lady....

Since this blog is titled oops, what is more appropriate to talk about other than an "Oops" moment....
Lately, there have been a lot of Oops moments going on around me. Specifically, people saying things that they just shouldn't say. More specifically things that people should never say to a VERY HORMONAL and VERY EMOTIONAL pregnant lady....

1) Wow, you look huge.
2) Omg, I saw your picture, you have gotten so big!
3) I was your size... When I was 9 months pregnant
4) When are you due? It looks like you are about to bust
5) Are you having twins?

Just a warning, if you see me, and feel the need to say one of these things, it is in your best interest to keep your mouth shut. First of all it is extremely rude and insensitive. Second of all, I am growing a baby! I'm supposed to be huge! I'm pretty sure that just means Madeline is healthy, and if I have to put on a TON of weight in order for her to be healthy, that is just fine with me. However I don't need a reminder from you. My pants remind me every morning that I am big, and that is all the reminding that I need.

Although I must admit, it is comical how emotional I can be sometimes (all the time). I was having the worst day every yesterday and I hadn't even gotten on campus yet... To put icing on the cake, I got to campus and was walking up the stairs. When I got to the top of the stairs I saw my friend. He just looked at me and made a comment about my large size. I feel really bad for the next part, because I probably gave him the most hateful look he has ever seen, and started bawling my pregnant little eyes out. Talk about embarrassing... These hormones are out of control. Michael is a saint for putting up with me.

On the bright side, I am in my THIRD and FINAL trimester, and it feels like such a short time before we get to meet this little disco dancer that has been hanging out in my womb for the past several months. I think it goes without saying that we can't wait! Hopefully these next weeks fly by!
